Family weekend hiding some shades

The front desk staff tried their best to turn our frown upside down but the room left us feeling a bit uneasy. The pool area was a sight to behold, if you could behold it, because it truly looked abandoned, tiles missing from the ceiling and all.

During our family trip for our oldest son’s graduation, we found ourselves in a very challenging stay. While the exterior of the hotel looked fine, we were immediately greeted by a strong odor in the hallways and our room. Although the room itself appeared clean and had a nice bathroom setup, the overall experience was marred by a non-functioning TV and an overpowering smell that only worsened. Thankfully, the young lady at the front desk said she would come check on the situation, but after a long wait, we learned she had gone home without resolving our issues. The next day brought some relief as the manager was nice and promised to help us with a partial refund. That small gesture was appreciated, but it didn’t compensate for the majority of our troubles.
